For over 30 years, I have worked to earn the respect of my peers and my fellow
citizens. I have dedicated my adult life to the values essential to being an
effective Sheriff: Honesty, integrity, fairness, compassion, and commitment to
public service. Through my work, serving my community and being committed
contributor to my county, I have tried to make Wakulla County a better place to
live and work for all our citizens Wakulla County has had a 22% increase in
our population, but our overall crime rate has decreased by 28% in the past five
years. Your Sheriff's Office maintains the lowest per capita cost for law
enforcement in the Big Bend. And, we operate a jail that almost pays for itself
by renting empty beds to State and Federal law enforcement agencies.
If you re-elect me as your Sheriff, I
promise to continue to keep the crime rate low and the quality of life better. I
have both the experience and credentials necessary to continue to be a good
Sheriff, and the values to be the kind of public servant you can be proud of.
